What is Honda Primo?

In 1978, Honda decided to diversify its sales channels in Japan and created Honda Verno, which sold established models with a sportier edge. Verno's launch coincided with Honda's new compact sports car, the Prelude. The Vigor, Ballade and Quint were later added to the Verno showrooms. As sales grew, Honda launched two more channels: Honda Clio in 1984 and Honda Primo in 1985.

The best-known models sold through Honda Primo were the Civic, Acty, Torneo, Civic Ferio and Z.
